FRANK O’DEA HOSPITALITY LLC.

What’s in a name?

While many of you may be familiar with my resumé and partnerships, I wanted to kick off this blog with a little insider info behind the guiding principles of Frank O’Dea Hospitality and why I chose that name for my business.

First, hospitality always comes down to relationships. Relationships with guests, employees, clients, partners, everyone. It’s the extra level of care and service that separates passable from extraordinary. Learning to create lasting relationships with reliability and graciousness was a lesson I learned early in my career. Thanks to a few of my dear family members and mentors, I had the privilege of witnessing successful entrepreneurs from an early age and taking in the power of going the extra mile for others.

Traveling across the country on a regular basis means I see a lot of great and terrible examples of hospitality in practice, but I choose to focus on the exceptional. Another great example of hospitality can be found in a beautiful engagement party I was honored to be invited to. It was really exquisitely executed from start to finish and you could feel the attention to detail. Both the host and the venue really understood how to throw a memorable event. I’m helping my dear friends (the parents of the bride) to select caterers for the wedding, which will be in their home in Ojai. What caterers out there do you think demonstrate exceptional hospitality?
